Open Casting Calls This Week (12–18 October 2026)

This week’s open casting calls: a West End musical seeking young performers by self-tape, a paid student film in Virginia, and Butlin’s open auditions across the UK.

This week’s open casting calls, checked against the original announcements. Deadlines move fast, so apply early and always read the full call at the source before you submit.

Self-tape and online applications

The Greatest Showman (UK stage) – young performers

  • Casting: Keston & Keston, for Disney Theatrical Group
  • Roles: Young Barnum and Young Charity/Caroline (ages 9–12, 4ft 8in and under); Helen (ages 8–10, 4ft and under). No experience required.
  • How to apply: online form plus a video audition singing “A Million Dreams”
  • Location: must live within one hour of London and be available February–November 2027
  • Deadline: 15 October 2026

AWAKE (student short film, Virginia, USA) – paid

  • Roles: Cory (lead, male, 18–25, $150/day for 3 days); Dr. Aurora (supporting, female, 30–35, $200 for 1 day); Roxanne (supporting, female, 18–25, $150 for 1 day)
  • Shoot: 6–8 November 2026, Fredericksburg, Virginia
  • How to apply: online audition submission via the link in the posting
  • Deadline: not stated, so apply soon
  • Note: the lead and one supporting role involve intimacy scenes

Open auditions (in person)

Butlin’s Redcoats, vocalists and triple threats (UK)

  • Redcoats: walk-in open auditions on 14 October and 2 November 2026; prepare a one-minute entertaining piece and bring a CV and headshot
  • Vocalists and dancers: Sunday 18 October 2026, Liverpool (registration links on the Butlin’s page)
  • Vocalists, triple threats and singer-dancers: 3 November 2026, London Danceworks; prepare the audition song plus a contrasting song
  • Pay: not stated in the announcement
